Mr. Karim CHEIKH holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Advanced Studies from UTC University of Technology (Compiegne), and a postgraduate degree from the French institute of Management in industrial Strategy & Management. He started his career in 1988 as a mechanical Engineer, and then he held several positions at CETIM such as; Head of department in Alsace (France), Regional delegate in Normandie (France), and Executive Manager at the head office of a business unit in Paris. He has also carried out several missions in Morocco for the European Commission and for Moroccan economic operators. In 2006, he created the first subsidiary of CETIM outside France (in Morocco), Metal and Mechanical testing lab for the aerospace industry, where he is still occupying the position of a Managing director. He had served as Secretary-General of GIMAS for 8 years then he has been appointed President since October 2016.

Doug serves currently as the Regional Director in the Supplier Development and Diversity Organization. Focusing on New Supplier Development, for the enterprise within Morocco, Latin America and Canada. In this position, Doug works with internal stakeholders, government, regional, state and local aerospace industry representatives to align key strategies around each countries aerospace capabilities. Doug also works internally to communicate key country capabilities within each countries aerospace eco-system that also provides “Best Country Value”. Doug currently leads the team that works closely with the Kingdom of Morocco Ministry of Industry, partnering together and supporting the MOU signed between the Kingdom and Boeing in September 2016. In this role, Doug and the team utilize Morocco’s strategic value and capabilities as an incentive for the existing Boeing Supply base to potentially identify current statement of work that could join the Morocco Aerospace eco-system, taking advantage of Morocco’s standing as “Best Country Value “.

Doug also supports multiple key strategic initiatives for the supplier qualification and enterprise assessment process for the supply base.

            Prior to these responsibilities, Doug was the Director of Supplier Management at Boeing South Carolina responsible for leading the organization on supplier performance, reducing risk, and protecting the 787 production system at BSC. Doug also held leadership roles in Boeing South Carolina Business Operations organization.

            Doug’s 30+-year career in Supplier Management and Business Operations includes experience in purchasing, contract negotiation, inventory management, critical supplier performance recoveries, identifying and implementing critical production system enablers, reducing risk, cost and flow. Doug joined Boeing Commercial Airplanes in 1989 and has held multiple leadership roles in all categories within Supplier Management.

            Doug holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from The University of Washington in Political Science, as well as multiple industry certifications. Doug served on several boards in South Carolina such as The South Carolina Aerospace State Council, Low Country Manufacturing Association, East Cooper Community Outreach board, and the Tri-State Minority Owned Business Council. Doug is married to Linda with 4 children and 4 grandchildren. While not hanging out with his grandchildren and Linda, Doug finds time to golf and fly fish. 

Dr Filomeno Martina is Senior Lecturer in Additive Manufacturing at the Welding Engineering and Laser Processing Centre, Cranfield University, where he also researches on in-process cold-work, Wire+Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) of titanium, WAAM hardware and cost modelling of the WAAM process. He is also the CEO of WAAM3D ltd which is commercialising the WAAM process. Moreover, he is also the course director of the first MSc on Metal AM in Europe. He also manages the WAAMMat research programme, which is currently worth £9M. He is member of ISO/TC 261/JWG 5, BSI PAS 6010, 6011 and 6012, and AMS7002A. He received his PhD in Additive Manufacturing from Cranfield University in 2014; the main focus of his doctoral research was the manipulation of geometry, microstructure and mechanical properties of large WAAM titanium deposits. Previously he earned an MSc also from Cranfield and an MEng in Industrial and Management Engineering from Polytechnic of Bari (Italy). He has received awards from BAE Systems (2010, 2018), Royal Aeronautical Society (2013), European Space Agency (2015), and The Welding Institute (2018). He counts 50 publications to his name since 2013.

Dr. Charles Tarek Sultan, (Ph.D.- Mechanical Engineering), head of Research and development at WeAre Aerospace. Specialist in Additive manufacturing, conventional machining and waterjet Technologies, Dr. Sultan is R&D projects coordinator for the group WeAre Aerospace, he works on additive manufacturing, surface treatment and special technologies optimization applied on hard metals and polymers.

He is also Member of Manutech’s Strategic & Scientific Committees and member of Technacol’s steering committee. Mechanical Doctor's degree (Ph.D.) at National Institute of applied science (INSA Toulouse), Dr. Sultan is also an associate professor at INSA Toulouse and got the Best Titanium thesis Award in 2015 in France. His last research: Effects of Selective Laser Melting additive manufacturing parameters of Inconel 718 on porosity, microstructure and mechanical properties. 

Jean-Michel Larricq is Marketing Director of Safran Helicopter Engines with a demonstrated history of working in the aviation and aerospace industry. Skilled in Contractual Negotiation, International Business, and Marketing Strategy, he is currently in charge of both strategic and operational marketing for Safran Helicopter Engines.

Jean-Michel Larricq holds an engineer degree in electronics (graduated in 1990 from ENSEIRB-MATMECA school in France) and a business degree from Institut d'Etudes politiques de Paris (Sciences Po, graduated in 1993).

He started his career in 1994 at Matra Communications (now Airbus) in Paris, as a Marketing product manager. In 1998 he relocated to Miami, USA, taking the responsibility of Business Development for South America. He was later appointed Business Development Manager, in Paris, until 2002.

He then joined Turbomeca (now Safran Helicopter Engines) as a Commercial Manager. In 2010 he was appointed as Head of Licences and Offsets Department, in charge of International Cooperation for Safran Helicopter Engines. He is now responsible of the Marketing Department since 2016.

Jason joined Rolls-Royce in 2006 as a Fleet Planner in the newly formed Operations Centre in Derby. After three years and following a one year secondment with Singapore Airlines, Jason undertook a position in East Hartford USA as the Customer Fleet Director with International Aero Engines (IAE), he was responsible for the day-to-day management of the V2500 engine fleet in the Middle East. In 2012 Jason returned to the UK to take up the position of Marketing Director for Rolls-Royce, playing a customer relationship role in both the Target and Sales phases. In 2017 Jason has moved to the UAE as the Regional Marketing Director for the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia. Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Jason spent 19 years in the British Royal Air Force as an Aircraft Engineer.

Mohammed EL FIOU head of purchasing of the Composites Division of the Ad Industries Group with 3 industrial plants under his responsibility (2 plants in France and 1 plant in Morocco).

With more than 14 years of experience in the aerospace and automotive industry.

He started his career in Morocco in 2005 in the ESTERLINE group and later moved to STELIA as a subcontractor Manager. He moved later to France in 2018 in order to lead the Composites purchasing of the Ad Industries group.

Mohammed EL FIOU is banking on the development of a strong and integrated supply-chain capable to overcome the industrial risks.

Dr. Abou el kacem Qaiss is currently working as Director of the Composites Nanocomposites Centre at the Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research (MAScIR) in Rabat (Morocco) since October 2010. He received his Ph.D. from Université Laval, Québec, Canada. He has more than 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and industries. His research areas of interest include Hybrid Reinforced/Filled Polymer Composites, Advance Materials: Graphene/Nanoclay, Lignocellulosic Reinforced/Filled Polymer Composites, Modification and Treatment of Lignocellulosic Fibres, Nano-Composites and Nanocellulose fibres, as well as Polymer blends. So far, he has published three books, 30 chapters and more than 80 international journal papers with 25 patents to his credits during 2011-2019. He is also a reviewer of several high impact ISI journals of Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, etc. He was a co-chair of 1st International Symposium on Composite and Nanocomposite Materials: ISymposite I, Rabat, Morocco, April 8 and 9, 2019 and the International Polymer Processing Society Meeting (PPS-27) that was hold for the first time in Africa and in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) in the City of Marrakech (Morocco) on May 10-14th, 2011.
